Event Update: Human Rights Training for High School and University Students!
On March 31, 2024, Youth For Human Rights, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Mella, hosted an impactful basic human rights training.
The program, comprising three interactive sessions spread over half a day, ignited thought-provoking discussions and cultivated a deeper understanding of human rights principles among participants.

Human Rights 101
Are you a young person who wants to learn more about your human rights and how to defend them? Do you want to join a network of passionate and active human rights advocates in Ethiopia? If yes, then you should sign up for the human rights education session by Youth For Human Rights Ethiopia (YHRE)
YHRE is a local initiative that offers various resources and training to help youth understand and apply the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in their daily lives. The human rights education session is a half day training that covers topics such as human dignity, equality, justice, freedom, democracy, and peace. By completing the training, you will receive a certificate and become a member of YHRE.
Empowering Ethiopian Youth: Human Rights Course 2023
In early April 2023, Youth for human rights Ethiopia offered a three-week course on the basic principles of human rights from the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights to the Human Rights Club of four secondary schools: Gihion, Preep, Fasilo, and Tana Haik. The club was founded by the UNA-ET BDU Chapter on December 8, 2022. The course was a joint effort of UNA-ET BDU, American Corner, and Youth for Human Rights International. The goal of the course was to educate and inspire young people to promote and protect human rights in their communities
